Once you've been through the Tunnel of Love
It's the Hall of Mirrors for you.
Soon as you've shown you've paid the price
Then you can join the queue.
As soon as you're through the Welcome door
It's much more fun on your own.
Take a look in this one here.
See how much you've grown.
Softly explore each hallway and room
Like a thief in a haunted house.
You never know what you will meet next.
A monster or a mouse?
It's time to face up to yourself,
Come and watch your head distort.
This one's interesting,
Shows a crack right through your heart.
Once you've been through the Tunnel of Love
It's the Hall of Mirrors for you.
Soon as you've shown you've paid the price
Then you can join the queue.
As soon as you're through the Welcome door
It's much more fun on your own.
Take a look in this one here,
see how much you've grown.
Hall of Mirrors! It's fun inside.
Hall of Mirrors! Takes you down to size.
Hall of Mirrors! Where you can't hide from yourself.
I once worked on the north side of [Fitzwilliam] Square in an ad agency after Arks, as the band was getting moving. Indeed, I wrote The Lady Wrestler and Hall Of Mirrors sitting at my desk when I was supposed to be devising campaigns for clients.

I may have made an interesting discovery on the keyword thing. As far as I can tell the word 'mirror' is only used twice: HTMSTP "Hall of Mirrors" and SSTT "Unapproved Road". Sort of an alpha and omega word, it would seem...

"Hall of Mirrors"The Annotated Horslips Lyrics Project thanks Eamon Carr for his transcription of the lyrics.A house of mirrors or hall of mirrors is a traditional attraction at funfairs (carnivals) and amusement parks. The basic concept behind a house of mirrors is to be a maze-like puzzle, but in addition to confounding the spatial senses with a labyrinth element, the visual senses are also confounded by the construction of the walls of the maze of optically reflective material, most often glass mirrors. Sometimes each mirror may be distorted into different curved, convex or concave shapes to give the participants unusual and confusing reflections of themselves.
