|Cissy and I were 2 young teenage girls, lucky to meet the bands whose music we loved. We met all types of bands. In 8th grade it was the AM radio rockers, The Bay City Rollers, whom we met at an album signing at Strawbridges Department Store that started it all. We were like, “Cool, who can we meet next?!” I started to work at the Tower Theater in Philly in high school and got to meet The Boomtown Rats who invites us to their Palladium show, Joe Jackson, Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, Nazareth, just to name a few. Patti Smith actually came to my high school graduation party after her “Easter” concert at the Tower. But we were on holiday in Skerries when we met Horslips, staying at a friend’s family hotel, and they told us they would be in touch when they got to Philly, and they were men of their word. They invited us to Sigma Sound Recording Studio where some of these pictures were taken, (they were doing a special recording for WYSP or WMMR, one of them) and some shots are from backstage at the Philadelphia Spectrum where I think they opened for Kansas.
